Boxycharm September 2020 Review
Warning – SPOILERS!
Boxycharm for the month of September arrived more prompt than last months did a few days ago. This month, the theme was ‘glam vibes only’. When it comes to make-up, glam is one of my favourite kinds. We saw mostly make-up in this months box which I cannot complain about at all. There are definitely brands that I recognise and new ones I cannot wait to try. I got evening sunset vibes from the colour story and decided to display my products on a nice wooden tray to represent a balcony deck with some gorgeous outdoor lights. So as usual, this is Boxycharm Base Box for $25. They offer a premium box and ‘BoxyLuxe’ as well as HUGE discounts from the boxycharm store, you can earn charms by reviewing your box that you can use to spend in the store.

Here is what I received for September 2020
DISCLAIMER! These are the products I received but you may not receive the same ones. Everyone gets a different variation. Boxycharm post the whole selection of what you could receive in your own box.
Farmacy Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eyecream
I love a good eyecream! Skincare is something that’s becoming more important to me as I get older. This is from a brand that I LOVE very much, Farmacy make amazing skin-loving products. This cream boasts super-hydrating and brightening powers to help moisturise and fight dark circles (which I very much need!). I have been using this the last 4 days since receiving my box and so far so good. I 10/10 recommend this product if you can get your hands on it. This goes for $45.00 on the Farmacy Website, I believe this is a brand new product from them and was launched exclusively to boxycharm first.

Huda Beauty Matte & Metal Melted Eyeshadows
I was super excited to see Huda Beauty in my box as i’m sure most other people were. When you think of Huda, you think of her amazing eyeshadow palettes and liquid lipsticks. I had seen these Matte & Metal shadows around and had been dying to try them. It is basically a dual ended shadow with a liquid matte on one end and a gorgeous metallic shimmer liquid on the other end. In the picture at the end of this post where I created a make-up look using all these products, you can clearly see how absolutely stunning this product is. If you love glam and sparkle, I 10/10 recommend this product. It comes in so many colours too! Mine is Double-pump Latte on the matte side which is described as a tan brown and Drop Top which is described as a golden bronze glitter. This product goes for $25.00 on Sephora.

Laura Geller Lashboss Bold Mascara – Black
I have definitely heard of this brand before but have never owned anything from them. I don’t love receiving mascara in my box and I am pretty sure that I stated this in my quiz, but sometimes these things happen. Since I started using make-up for the first time, I have tried so many mascara products. Now that I am 26, I feel I know what I like and what I don’t. Does this mascara work? Yes… Is it revolutionary? Absolutely not. It’s a basic mascara with a basic mascara wand, but it does work. I’d rate this a 5/10, It’s not worth the $24.00 price tag on the Laura Geller Website. It claims to lengthen and curl the lashes, but it does neither. It just coats the lashes in a clumpy mess. It is very black though!

Luna Magic Beauty Blend it Girl! 4-Piece Brush Set
This is the first time in the 4 months I have been getting these boxes that I have received any kind of brushes. You get 3 eye brushes and 1 small face brush in a cute travel bag. They are cruelty-free and made with synthetic bristles. They are super soft and the handles are good quality. I have only used these once and I really like them. They blend eyeshadow well and deposit pigment amazingly. I used the small face brush to apply my highlighter on my cheeks and i’m thinking this may replace my current Morphe brush! I 10/10 recommend these brushes, especially if you are a beginner with eyeshadow and you’re not ready to splurge on the expensive sets. These will set you back only $18.00 from the Luna Magic Website, which I think is a reasonable price!

Blinc Evening Glamour Palette
This is a lovely eye and face palette, 2 blush shades and 6 eyeshadows. I instantly thought of sunset when i saw these colours. This is a really pretty palette and the shadows are lovely and pigmented. It’s definitely travel friendly, but I think it lacks a few lighter matte shades. I’d give this palette a 8/10, for the most part it’s great and easy to use. It goes for $26.00 on the Boxycharm website, I couldn’t find it on the Blinc site.

Just like last moth, I created a look using all the products in this months box. I really love how this turned out, the Huda Beauty liquid shadow is stunning. Probably my favourite new product and I want to go out and buy every shade! The value of this box is at $138.00. A lot less than last months but still worth the $25.00 paid for it.
