Boxycharm November 2020 Review

Boxycharm for November had a ‘Harvest’ theme. I really liked the theme this month but I think that’s just because of the Autumn vibes, which is my favorite season. This is probably the first time the theme and the items matched. I photographed my products using one of my favorite flannel shirts as when I think of Autumn and harvest, I instantly think of this pattern. So as usual, this is Boxycharm Base Box for $25. They offer a premium box and βBoxyLuxeβ as well as HUGE discounts from the Boxycharm store, you can earn charms by reviewing your box that you can use to spend in the store.

Jecca Blac – Liquid Corrector 2.0
This product is an under eye color corrector. It’s kind of a peachy shade to correct dark circles. I don’t have too much of an issue with dark circles so I can’t really say for certain if it works. I did try it out though and it has a nice coverage and consistency. I feel like if you do have dark circles this should work for you really well. It claims to have a glowy finish which was hard for me to see because I put my regular makeup over it. This currently goes for $13.69 on the Jecca Blac Website. After looking on their website it looks like this brand trieds to cater for everyone, their mission is to ‘be a brand that represents all beauty lovers’. I love this, they call the products ‘gender-free’. This is a brand to support and I will definitely purchase other items from them that will be better suited for me.

Earth Harbor Naturals – Helios Anti-Pollution Youth Ampoule
I’ve been trying out this product since it was delivered in this box, it’s a brand I’ve not heard of before. First off the packaging is pretty, it’s glass and has a beautiful red ombre on the bottle. It feels luxe and smells incredible. This is a facial oil/serum, I personally love these kinds of products for winter because my skin gets so dry and this has saved my skin! It doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily or greasy despite having a vast collection of oils and extracts. This product is supposed to restore antioxidants, balance skin pH and smooth skin. It definitely seems to work really well on my skin type which is combination. On the Earth Harbor website you can get this for $48.00, which is kind of pricey for a face oil but it does have high quality ingredients and a little goes a long way so you won’t be running out anytime soon.

Beauty Creations – Esmeralda Palette 2
I’m a little confused by this palette because my boxycharm card says this is called the ‘Esmeralda 1’ but the palette says ‘Esmeralda 2’ so there’s definitely been a typo somewhere. The color story for this palette is stunning, I do wish there were more mattes as you struggle to make a full eye look using the one palette. A few light neutrals would take this to the next level. The shimmers are stunning and it’s pretty pigmented. I don’t love the packaging but for most people that’s not a make or break, it just feels cheap. It’s not a bad price on the Beauty Creations website for $13.99. In fact for the quality and amount of shadows, that’s amazing. I do really like this palette but I never would have bought it myself.

Jouer Cosmetics – Lip Enhancer
I have seen this lip balm all over the internet this month. The beauty gurus are talking about how amazing it is and how it makes you look like you have had lip filler but i’m going to tell you something, it’s a lip balm. It’s literally just an average lip balm, nothing special. This is a perfect example of how beauty influencers will say anything is good as long as they get paid to do so. It’s nice. It’s shiny. It’s a lip balm. It’s $17.00.. what?! No, don’t buy this. If the packaging was not one of the gross lip gloss tubes you would get your 5 year old cousin for her birthday so she could play with makeup, then i’d maybe consider paying more than $10 for it but don’t waste your money. If you are in the market for a lip balm then try the balms from Benefit or Sol De Janeiro as they work really well.

Natasha Denona – Peak Palette
I had seen a sneak peak of this item before I got my box and I prayed I would get it. I do not own anything from Natasha Denona because you have to take out a bank loan to buy 1 palette. It is a very expensive and luxury brand, but I have heard the price is worth it because apparently these shadows are amazing. This palette was made exclusively for Boxycharm so you can only get it through ordering this months box, which is worth the $25 for this product alone as this costs $48.00 to purchase off the boxycharm website on it’s own (but you have to be a boxycharm subscriber to purchase off the website). I used this palette to create an eye look at the bottom of this post and I can confirm that it is amazing. The shadows do live up to the hype and if you can get your hands on it, you won’t be disappointed.

Here is the look I created using some of the products in this box. On the whole, this has been one of my favorite boxes so far. If you’re looking at subscribing to boxycharm, this is definitely a good one to start with. For $25.00 you are getting a value of $140.68, which is a really good deal to try new brands and products.
